What does a 3 way speaker with 160 watts x2 mean??? Is it compatible with a 700 watts and a 4 channel power amplifier???

If you had put a link to the speakers it would be easier, but your description makes it sound like the speakers are self powered (self amplified). It may be the case that the speakers a bi-wire capable.

"3 way" speakers mean they have three different sized speakers in the cabinet. Here is a classic example
