Need a new laptop, suggestions?

So in a couple weeks I will be buying a new laptop, so I am looking for some good recommendations. My budget is $1200, screen size 15-16in, a backlit keyboard is a nice plus, minimum 1tb HDD, doesn't need to be a "gaming" laptop, I play some games but nothing new, games I play on my current laptop are company of heroes 1, Rome: Total War 1, sims 3, pretty basic games. I mostly use my laptop for movies, so a good screen resolution and speakers are a plus. Thanks for any help provided, I'm not good at shopping around for computers.

Do note that you need to select "IPS panel" in case you want a better screen

I might not tell you how it exactly works but IPS panels tend to be more color-accurate and have wider viewing angles

Yes and other benefit of having an IPS display is, they are non-reflective. IPS displays are also good at reducing eye strains while prolonged usage which will be really good for your eyes as you watch movies on your laptop.
