USB "DAC-Up" or SPDIF for 2.1 Audio? Connecting to DAC/AMP

I am getting a SMSL Q5 Pro DAC/AMP

I have a Gigabyte Gaming-7 mobo with a SPDIF and that "DAC-UP" USB, meant for cleaner signal.

Which one should I use? 2.1 channels don't benefit from the DSP chip (that from what I read can only be used through the SPDIF, please correct me if I am wrong), so would using either be the same??

On that unit the USB input is limited to 96khz while the spdif goes up to 192khz sampling rate. Just a guess but the spdif might sound better. May not matter if you don't have HiRes audio files.
Play the same file and switch audio devices on your PC. You could use an audio routing program like this one to make that easier.

Now I can plug both USB and SPDIF to my amp and switch back and forth easily.

Maybe I'll try and get some HiRes files to take advantage of that.
