primary speaker problem

I am using windows 10 on my dell vostro 2520. I have a problem with my speakers. My laptop speakers don't work while my headphones do work on my laptop. Since somedays the speakers won't work but earlier it was working fine. Need help?

Could be broken speakers or connection to the motherboard is bad. Did you check audio settings already to make sure the output is set to the speakers when the headphones are not in?
