My Asus laptop has an audio jack which no longer works with my speakers. Is this fixable? If not,
I am wondering if it is an easy thing to replace. (You can buy online I see.)
The laptop speakers work.
Everything was working fine then the cord seemed to not connect properly. I would wiggle and play and jiggle and trade cords and it worked for a while but now my newest cord doesn't work either.
Anything I can do with the cords ends? The jack? Can I connect my speakers via USB somehow?
Thank you.

Interestingly I did not do that, which embarrasses me. The earphones work fine. And now I have switched up speaker cable and the connection between the extension cable and the regular one seems to be the issue.
I also took one of the cables apart and realized that they are really really delicate with very thin fibers which I guess are copper, but it is like thread, not real copper wire. There is also barely a connection point between "wire" and plug. So I think the connections are a bit fragile now, likely with all the fiddling and moving around.
I've tried getting higher quality cable but the usual places near me don't sell them so maybe online for those also?

Might try the adapter first and then if that doesn't work borrow another set of speakers to try .

Thanks for the help.
