I've been searching through sites upon sites for about a month now before finally giving up and posting my own because no ones seemed to have this problem.

Anyway,

My laptop had updated and it was working slower than normal so I knew something was up, but then updated again and now it shows the Acer startup for about a second then black screens with no mouse for exactly an hour. Then it goes to the recovery settings where there is still no mouse, you choose Enter or F8, it goes back to black screen and it just repeats like that.

No buttons work to bring anything else up ( F11, F5, F8, etc)
I have windows 10.
My laptop is an Acer Aspire V5-571 series.

Thanks to all who try to help!

5. Now you want to let the laptop boot to the "Automatic Repair" screen.
6. Click "Advanced Options" and then select "Troubleshoot".
7. Here you want to select "Refresh your PC", if you do not wish to erase data, or "Reset your PC" to erase all data and restore your system.
8. From here just follow the screen instructions until the recovery is completed.

Do not do a "Reset" as that will wipe all data you have on the laptop.
