Hello -

I have an HP envy 15 which is displaying the "plugged in, not charging" message. I have gone through the steps to remove the battery drivers, which worked once, but does not work anymore. I have two batteries and it does it for both of them. The laptop does charge when turned off or in standby mode though. Anyone have ideas? Thanks!

Two bad batteries?.. probably not right... so it may be the adapter is not doing the job. It may be to weak to keep up with both charging the battery and running the laptop. If you have access to another power adapter that would diagnose the issue, or see if a power monitoring software gives any clue... it my show what the battery needs and what it gets. It should get what the adapter normally puts out, but there should be a minimum.
