I was trying to remove the acer homepage from starting up every time I start up google chrome. I was going through my programs and uninstalled McAfee, I have Webroot, and it said that the uninstallation failed and gave me 2 options; Restart or Restart later. after I selected Restart windows started doing updates. I waited for it to complete and when it finally restarted the screen said "No Bootable Device".

Solution
If you have any USB devices or CD/DVD in the system remove them. Re-seat the hard drive connection, try it again.

Not sure why you tried to uninstall McAfee to change your homepage, you can't just change it from Chrome?
