Hey everyone, I need help setting up my asus 4k monitor with my bose solo 5 speaker system. My PC is currently plugged into the bose speaker via optical cable. I want to hook up the bose speaker directly to the monitor, however there is no optical input on the monitor itself. Is there some kind of reciever or adapter I can buy to make this happen? The reason I want to know is because I just bought a Xbox one s and I plan on using my 4k monitor to play on it.

Without the model number of the monitor can't give you an exact answer.
If the monitor doesn't have an audio out of any kind you can't connect the speaker to it. Probably doesn't have any speakers built in so there would be no use for an audio input or output.
Your Bose does have three inputs so you could use the coax digital input or analog aux input for the Xbox1s.
You could also use an HDMI input selector with audio extraction but ones that are HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 compatible don't seem to be out yet.
