Laptop CPU upgrade?

Nothing like a complicated answer to a simple question
If the Laptop was available with that CPU then it will work, they don't make different proprietary motherboards for different CPUs in laptops that would be far too costly. Its all up to whether the BIOS supports it which is easily discoverable if you can determine if the CPU was available in it.
The major issue here would be finding a T9600 CPU to install. You can't buy these things retail, generally you would need to find another laptop to get it from.
There are several auctions on eBay for the T9600 and they aren't that expensive. So if it doesn't work you aren't out that much money.
By the way, your current T7300 scored 1195 on passmark.com and the T9600 scored 1948 so about 60% increase.

the fsb is diferent, so i may not work. maybe you can try with the Core 2 Duo T7800 2,6ghz, that one has the same fsb.
