Hello,

I am looking to buy a media centre or streaming device for my TV. I have a 1080p TV.

My house mate had her eye on the https://www.amazon.com/Android-Multimedia-Gateway-Internet-Streaming/dp/B00ZIB1LXQ
and I had my eye on the Roku 3.

I want to be able to use the following:

  • ■YouTube
    ■Popcorn Time
    ■Showbox
■Ororo.tv (basically a website that streams movies, maybe a regular browser might be enough?)

I am wiling to spend anywhere between 100 - 200 Euros.

Ease of use would also be preferable, but I wouldn't mind installing things like Kodi and adding sources, as long as I can set it up, so that non tech savy people in my house can use it as well.

If it's just media streaming (no need for fast response for things like gaming) a Google Chromecast would be a good idea. You can stream any webpage with it and there are Chrome apps that let you stream virtually any video file. It's also very easy to set up.

I don't think we are really allowed to talk about this on this forum. I have seen cracked firesticks with kodi that work quite well, but most of the stuff you get access to is illegal pirated material which this site frowns upon.

I'm not asking for any tips on how to install these software, or where to find them.

My question is simple, what media streamer can you recommend, that can play all those apps, and allow for installation of those apps.
