Since I mostly use gamedebate for things, I'm usually under the impression that all 950M graphics cards that are GDDR5 are 2GB only.

I came across this https://globalbrand.com.bd/ASUS-Laptop/ASUS-K550VX-6700HQ-Core-i7-6th-Gen, which had a 950M 4GB GDDR5. It also seems to be the case when I saw one locally.

But are they really 4GB GDDR5?

Thanks!

That link is for 4 GB system RAM not video card memory. If you look at the details, it's a 2 GB 950M card.

It looks like the 950M cards with 4 GB of memory are the DDR3 versions.

Yes it's a new variant of GTX 950M built by Asus for its ROG GL552VX which I am using. It has a dedicated GDDR5 4GB VRAM which brings it pretty close to GTX 960M in terms of performance.

I couldn't believe when I checked out the hardware specs at first. It is neither mentioned in their website nor anywhere else on the internet. I had to contact the dealer who confirmed the same after checking the Asus database.
