I would like to be closer to $1500 or lower but the hard line is $1750.
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
The size of the notebook is not a huge issue for me. The only reason I am choosing a laptop over a desktop is because when I travel I would like to take the laptop to the hotel with me. I would prefer a 15.6" but 17.3" is fine as well.
3. What screen resolution do you want?
I am fine with 1920 x 1080. Better than that is fine by me.
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Semi-portable.
5. How much battery life do you need?
Battery life almost means 0 to me. I always had my previous laptop plugged in. At the most, my last laptop was unplugged for 45 min to 1 hour and I have that laptop for 3 years.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I would like to play games created today at Ultra settings around 60 fps.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Nothing else CPU/GPU intensive. Most task are light weight except for the gaming. Examples are use word processing, internet, etc.
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
256gb SSD is the preferred to me. I have a couple hard drives that can be used for storing information like photos. Storage speed is more important than storage size since I have multiple large hard drives at home.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3+ years. This is the big selling point to me. I want the laptop I get to be able to run games at medium to high settings at 30+ fps as the videos games develop more details 3 years from now. Main reason I can't decide between a GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 is projecting that the GTX 1060 would survive that long.
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD reader would be nice, but not necessary at all. If anything, I can buy an external DVD drive when the kids want to watch movies.
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
No preference here. I think if you guys are recommending a brand it is for a reason (Good past experience). So I am in the trust of you guys.
My ASUS laptop broke after a year because of bad hinges attaching the screen but that is my only complaint about any company but I would still buy an ASUS if it was the best option.
