how to how to hook up a RCA CD burner to my receiver

Solution
If your receiver has tape record outputs that is what you would use. These are fixed in level so the volume control of the receiver would not affect the recording level. This is an analog connection. Some surround sound receivers have a digital audio record output that would be superior since you would avoid going from digital to analog and back to digital. If you record from an analog source you would need the first connection too.
