Cant Figure Out How To Unlock Fn

I just purchased a new Asus computer and it is great so far except for the fact that I have to hold down the Fn key to easily adjust my brightness or volume. I want or Unlock/Lock the fn key so I don't need to hold it down but I can't find the key which is usually on the escape button.

Most laptops I've seen don't have a button to do that.

It's usually a setting in the BIOS.

I doubt you will be able to change that in the BIOS.

Screen brightness and audio volume are both tied to the "Fn" key to allow all the 'F' keys & some other keys to have a dual function because there are fewer keys on laptops compared to a full-size desktop keyboard, it's as simple as that.

Some laptops have an option to set whether holding the function key lets you use the F-keys (normally the brightness settings etc.), or if holding the function key lets you use the brightness settings etc. and you can use the F-keys without it.

I haven't had much luck finding it, though - the laptop I thought would have it doesn't, and I don't really want to reboot my main one.
