Dear Community,

I have a Philips 55pus8809/12 and a Philips HTD5540/12. The only other device i have connected is a digital box for TV.

The devices are connected in the following way:
Digital TV -> TV by HDMI
Home Cinema -> TV by HDMI.

For some reason i can't get my home cinema to work in any way, not with my Digital TV and not with my normal TV (like playing Youtube)

I once got sound working a bit, by connection a red audio cable between my Home Cinema and my Digital TV Box directly. But if was not a good connection.

Does anyone know how i can get this to work?

Thanks alot in advance..

Dearest regards,

Dominique

To use the HDMI ARC feature on the HTS your need to have it connected to the HDMI ARC input on the TV (if it has one). ARC will need to be turned on in the TV menu and selected as your source on the HTS. You may also need to set the TV audio output type to get surround sound.
If the TV doesn't support ARC you will need to use the TV optical audio output to connect to the HTS. On some TVs you have to turn on the optical out and turn off the TV speakers. Set the TV audio output type for surround too,
