Hi.
I am looking to buy a laptop in the $850 range. I live in the UAE (in Abu Dhabi) and I am upgrading from my 6 years old toshiba satellite a300 laptop so it has been a while since I last visited the laptops market and I am not sure about the modern pricing of laptops.
My preferences are a decent cpu and a mid-range dedicated GPU, FHD resolution, battery life or a touchscreen aren't deciding factors for me. I am using the laptop for gaming and I hope I can run games like crysis 3, gta v, and bioshock on at least medium settings.
So far I have narrowed down the options to these 2 laptops:
Lenovo Ideapad 510: Nvidia GeForce 940MX 4GB, Core i7-6500U, 12GB RAM, 15.6" FHD (1920x1080), 2TB HDD,
Price: 3200 AED (about $870)
HP Envy 15-K207: Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M 4GB, Core i7-5500U, 16GB RAM, 15.6 FHD (1920x1080), 2TB HDD
Price: 3000 AED (about $815)
The Lenovo laptop is around 200 AED more (about $50) more.
Which one do you recommend and do you think the price fits the specs of these laptops? or are they overpriced?
Thank you very much.
