gateway laptop wont turn on

My Gateway laptop won't charge or turn on. It is dead. Can this be fixed or does it need to be replaced?

Did you try a different charger? Try with the battery out? Try resetting the system by removing battery and wall power, hold in the power button about 30 seconds, see if it turns on then. If a new charger and the reset did nothing, it may be a bad power jack or motherboard.
