Good morning,

My brother purchased a new laptop on Friday. It is the MSI
MSI GL62 6QD-408UK, Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core Processor.

The laptop was delivered this morning. After completing the start up process he was told he had to create an online MSI account. So, he began to enter his details, but when he went to put his email address in he noticed the shift keys were not working.

I have had a quick look and tried updating the keyboard drivers/uninstalling it. The problem is still there. Could you please help as this was an expensive laptop and would like to use it ASAP.

Thanks.

Have you tried contacting the Manufacturers to see if they have had any previous issues and have the availability and or ability to assist you to fix the issue.

This could be a slight manufacturing issue, but I'm not too sure.

Have you tried to look at the keyboard settings in the OS? As it could have a setting disabled/enabled which could affect the usage of certain keys on the keyboard. Such as language settings etc?
