Hi

a program like cpu-z will tell you what type of ram you have
as well as how many ram slots
2GB could be 2 x 1GB or 1 x 2GB

A website like Crucial will tell you what ram is supported by your laptop and if it is still available

What version of Windows & is it 32 bit or 64 bit as 32 bit windows only uses about 3.3GB of ram so fit 3G or 4 GB

You will need exact model of Toshiba to find out what ram is supported at Crucial (or other major ram vendors)

Uninstalling Toshiba utilities which run in the background can help speedup system
as would upgradding to a SSD to replace the HDD.

adding more ram should help with the integrated graphics aswell. Just make sure to get the right type of memory (Low Profile or Standard) (ECC or non ECC).

NOTE: I personally have no prior experience in upgrading laptop memory.
