Ok so I just recently bought the HyperX Cloud Core cuz I needed a new headset. The headset was working fine until I tried using the mic. My laptop is an Acer E15 and only has 1 jack while the HyperX Cloud Core has 2 cords, 1 for audio and 1 for the mic. I tried putting in the mic but it didn't work. I tried looking at the Control Panel and everything. I was thinking of maybe getting a splitter or a USB adapter but I'm not sure if my jack is a jack combo or not. Everytime I go to check the mic it has these X's around these speakers and stuff and I can't press all of the buttons on the screen because most of them are greyed out. Would a USB be good? Or a splitter, I'm thinking of getting a USB so I can plug them both in. Please help me fix this...

You are probably going to be better off getting the USB. I say that because it is becoming a trend (or its seems to be) for manufacturers to install jacks that do not accept external microphones. Why they have decided to do that, who knows. Alas, this leaves people stuck using the built in microphone, which usually isn't what you need/want.

Were you to get an adapter, that can connect your two output headset, to a USB port, you shouldn't have anymore issues.
