Asus notebook S301L screen wont go on

Solution
Try this.. Turn off the laptop. Connect and external monitor. Turn on the external monitor and then turn on the laptop. Do you see the screen on the external monitor?

If yes, then your attached display may be damaged. You will want to look inside at the ribbon cable that connects it to the laptop and make sure it isn't damaged or disconnected.

Also, you will want to try shining a light on the display to make sure the image isn't still showing, just really dark. If that is the case the backlight is probably going to need to be replaced.

Should none of that be it, then the display will need replacing.

Now if you don't see anything on the external monitor either, then your video card is probably going to need to be replaced.
