I have the Superlux HD685 for a time now and i love it, and i also play a lot and i want to have virtual 7.1 for game purposes only. Is it possible with an external sound card like with the Kingston hyperx cloud2 ?

Solution
yes, razer virtual surround works but its not the best choice.

internal cards like the xonar dg will work. external cards like the xonar u3 have dolby headphone. some creative models may have virtual surround as well.

Thanks. That means that i don't have to buy the kingston hyperx ones or similar ones that come with a 7.1 adapter, and can side with better audio quality ones an external mic and the asus xonar u3.

actually the hxc isnt terrible for the money. its based on the headphones takstar pro 80 which is considered as a good value choice just like the superlux 668b's are. not familiar with the model you have. the soundcard that comes with the hxc2 though has been plagued with problems so i wouldnt have suggested it anyways (the headphone portion is still good though).

yes, external soundcard, internal soundcard or software will work for you. just be sure it says dolby headphone (if asus card) or that it have virtual surround for headphones (if creative card)
