Hi guys, I'm getting a laptop soon, and right now, I'm stuck between these two:

I would go for the newer model with the i7 6700hq and DDR4 memory. It's even cheaper.

From a design age standpoint the Y70 is a bit older

Bascically these two laptops only differ in processor generation.The Y70 uses the older haswell processor.The otherone,coupled with the faster ddr4 it supports is slightly better.

Honestly,the difference in gaming is only around 2-5 fps i think so you should just go for the one you like .

From a geek standpoint the y70 is slower

The one with the i7 6700HQ should be better for cpu tasks, Also it should have better battery life due to the new architecture,.
