For the last year, I have been working with an Asus Transformer Book T100TAF with 2 GiB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3735F. I have been doing some light 3d rendering in Blender with this laptop, and it's been working pretty well. I'll design a model, get the camera where I want it, push the render button, get myself something to eat, come back, and the render will be done. However, I've recently saved up enough money to get a Dell XPS 15 9550 with an Intel Core i7 6700HQ and 8 GiB of RAM. Before buying it, I'd like to know how it will perform in relation to my current laptop. Regardless of the answer, I'll still probably buy it, as I'm getting super tired of having to store all my data on a bunch of 16 GiB flash drives. Also, my current screen is cracked, so I'm going to get a new laptop anyway. I couldn't find any specific comparisons on the internet, which is why I created this thread. Thanks to all who take the time to answer!
