how to fix lenovo y70 port

I currently use a y70 touch. A little bit a go it started having problems charging, a pop-up would say that the adaptor isn't for the system, that it isn't able to read it. And now I can't turn it on because it has no charge. I think the port is the issue and not the actual adaptor. Pls help I'm a noob

Well if the port is the problem, and not the charger, then the port may need replacing. If it is attached to the motherboard, then that also may need replacing.

However, if the cord you are using to charge with is not the original cord, it is completely possible that the device won't work correctly with it. Some devices are very picky about the cords used with them.
