APU upgrade dual-core to quad-core

hello guys, i would like to upgrade my APU on my laptop, its the HP Pavillion g6, specs: amd a6 4400m 2,7 ghz dual core 4gb ram gpu: 512MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7520G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics (HP) and mobo: Hewlett-Packard 184A (Socket FT1), can i upgrade my APU to quad-core 3,8 ghz?

The fastest processor that was an option on that laptop is the A10-4600M @3.2 GHz per the manual. It scored 3110 on Passmark versus 1623 for the A6-4400M so should be a decent upgrade.

By the way your socket is FS1r2. The fastest processor for that socket is the A10-5750M which scored 3365 on passmark. It may work but it might not be worth taking the chance for the marginal gain over the A10-4600M.
