So this is an odd problem that requires a little bit of explaining.
My current laptop is a 2 year old Inspiron 3542 which I use for school and the like. In the past two months, an issue with the battery has been ongoing.
Depending on where pressure (and I mean like light pressure of a hand resting on device!) is applied, the battery status on the system tray will either read a normal (I assume?) readout of say, 95% plugged in and charging or a "Battery not detected" message. This gets especially annoying when I am using it on the go and the Laptop suddenly shuts down, again due to said pressure.
I have tried a new battery in it and the problem still exists and I have thoroughly blown the battery bay with compressed air. I believe (But I'm probably wrong) that the issue lies with either the battery contacts on the system board or the internal electrical components.
