My girlfriend is going back to school and she's looking for a new laptop to do her school work on that will last her the four years of her degree. We're really not looking for anything fancy, it should just be able to do the following:
- Visual Studio for medium sized projects
- Eclipse as above
- Word/Excel/Powerpoint/etc
Reliability and longevity is key here, she doesn't want it to start overheating after a year (any tips on how to prevent this is very appreciated). 800-1000 Canadian is our pricing point for this, we're not really looking to spend more.
