1)What can I do if the BIOS cant find the HDD ?

LENOVO G50-45
HDD WD10JPCX: It doesn't make noises, the only sound it does is when it tries to boot, does a click and the shows me a screen that says "EFI Network 0 for IPv4 (68-F7-28-50-99-DB) with an OK button, press enter and does the same again, I try to access the boot options and it just shows EFI PXE network.

-Also tried to restore factory setting on the BIOS - HDD not detected
-move to legacy options - Not detected

If I need a new HDD how can I recover the Windows 8?, files are not important for me but it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop with warranty than buying a HDD and Windows License.

Is there anything else I can do ?

Thanks.

Hi there DarkKath,

That is really unpleasant. :(
In case the drive is not even powering up and it makes some clicking sounds, then I guess it is dead. I believe it will not hurt to attach it to another system so you can be sure this is the case.

Well, you don't have an OS CD right? I believe you will need to contact the laptop manufacturer on that. I don't think you will need to buy OS once again.
