(TL;DR at the bottom)

I have already posted about finding the right pair of headphones, but I have since bought a recommended pair and have done more research. The Sennheiser HD558 headphones were suggested to me and, after looking for a while, I located a pair and bought them. After using them for listening to music and watching a movie (Batman v Superman) I found that the bass was underwhelming, compared to what I was expecting. I will credit the HD558’s for sounding incredibly clean and clear, but like I said, the bass does not bump like I would have preferred. After looking a bit more into headsets that offer heavier bass, I have come across many different options that are within the price range I have set (~$100) and are all credited with having respectable bass, though some trade the sound clarity for that. In any case, I went to Best Buy and Fry’s Electronics and was able to test some Extra Bass Over-the-Ear Headphones by Sony and was fairly impressed with the bass, but was turned away since they are wireless. I have also heard a great deal about Skullcandy’s Crusher headphones and how they literally shake with bass, but they are not sold in any store near me, so returning them would be more of a hassle if I decide they are not what I am looking for.

TL;DR – I am not impressed with the Sennheiser HD558 headset’s bass and am looking for a headset that can deliver much heavier bass with respectable clarity at around $100 in price. (wireless is not preferred)
Thank you to all that choose to respond!

Edit: I forgot to mention that I would prefer that the headset is not USB connected.

1) EVERY computer has built in equalizer unless you have really cheap ass components. If you have any modern realtek codec, you have an equalizer
2) Most android phones have the same. My xperia phone has a really nice one, and last I checked samsung and even apple had equalizers.
3) You don't buy external equalizers. Yes, they exist for professional sound mixing (not called "equalizer"), but basically all consumer equipment already includes that functionality so there's no need
For that price range you can get EITHER clarity OR heavy thumping bass. When it comes to headphones, heavy bass usually means something's wrong elsewhere though, since it's hard to move the amount of air necessary for those ranges at subwoofer like pressures.

If you want a compromise, try the HD558s with an equalizer with the 10-200Hz range boosted and see if they are thumpy enough for you.

If I can find an euqalizer that is cheap, I will be sure to consider that. However, that does not necessarily help if I want to use the headphones in my phone. Like I said, though, I will definitely consider what you suggested.

I found the equalizer that you told me about and I can definitely thank you, because I never knew it existed and it GREATLY improved the sound quality of the headphones! However, the bass still is not exactly how I like it. I guess I am just either extremely picky, or naive haha. Either way, I really appreciate your help.
