Hello! I recently got a new PC to replace my old laptop. I still use my laptop for school/surfing the web, so I have it next to my monitor.

My request is that I want to be able to connect the screens in a way where I can decide which screen I am using, so I can use my mouse and keyboard for both. I also still want my monitor to be connected to my PC, so is their a way to do this wireless?

Thanks!

Ah....
That you cannot do. The laptop would need HDMI IN. Which is almost certainly does not have.

You wish to use the laptop as a laptop, and the PC is a PC, and just control one or the other from the same keyboard/mouse?

A KVM switch is made for this:

In reality, I guess my real desire is to have my laptop act as a secondary monitor. It's already next to my regular monitor 24/7 except for when I take it on the go, but besides that I just want it to act as a second monitor. It would be more helpful for me.

Ahh. Ok. Thanks for confirming! I would have been struggling for days trying to figure out! Although I am disappointed it's not possible :(
