Why can i hear myself through my laptop speakers? Every time i talk, i can hear myself and my laptop's repeating everything i say. I don't know how to stop this. I turned my laptop off already, but it's still the same. I don't know how to solve this issue, and it honestly is scaring me so much. Please help?!

Solution
If you have an orange speaker icon on your desktop (lower right hand corner), right-click on it, then click on audio devices, then click on the "recording" tab, then select your laptop's microphone. Then, click properties, then the "listen" tab, then make sure that "listen to this device" is not enabled. If that doesn't work, then make sure that there's no other mics in the list under the recording tab. Either that, or you're using a mac, or a windows computer that doesn't use realtek audio, and I wouldn't be able to help you in that case. You could also try opening task manager (or the mac equivalent?) and closing any application you know uses the microphone.

I just had the same problem right now!!
i have windows 10..
i went right clicked on my speaker icon at the bottom.
Then clicked recording devices
the window popped up. i then clicked on the microphone device that was on the list and clicked on properties.
At the bottom it said it was active, so i clicked on it and i deactivated it and clicked apply and ok.
Then BOOM! i didn't hear myself anymore ^_^ !!! i was soo happy!

Just make sure that you remember to activate it again when you want to use it. That's why I went into detail with the "listen to this device" checkbox, so that you can keep it activated, but I'm glad that you got it working.
