Hello all! I was wondering if you guys can help me choose a laptop? Here is my completed form...

1. What is your budget?

600 - 1300

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

13-15 inches

3. What screen resolution do you want?

The nicest one out there.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

I need a portable one.

5. How much battery life do you need?

Something decent, really. Maybe about 5+?

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?


7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Hangouts, Skype, Microsoft Office, SEO programs... -.-

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

500gb is fine.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Any site is fine as long as people here have experience buying from them.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

3-5 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?


12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I already have too many apple products. lol Windows is good!

Here you go:

Dell XPS 13(from $800)

Overall, great laptop, too many good points to tell about
Cons: 128GB SSD, Webcam placement is awkward

Lenovo ThinkPad X260($760)

You'll have to choose the 500GB HDD one. It also has ridiculously high battery life, almost 17 hrs on continuous web surfing.

ASUS VivoBook E403SA-US21(~$400)

Strong performance for its price. Enough for daily use.

Cons: 128 GB eMMC(basically 128 GB storage)
