My laptop wouldn't install the AMD driver, so I tried to delete the only display adapter there was installed on my laptop, which was microsoft basic display adapter. I removed it, restarted my computer and now it only shows a blackscreen. No cursor, no start windows logo or anything. I have tried to boot it to BIOS, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Try this. Turn off the laptop. Plug in an external monitor. Turn on the monitor, and then turn on the laptop and see if it will show. If not then it is probably the driver/adapter you removed.

A way around this may be to start the computer in "Safe Mode". This 'should' allow it to try and located, and install, a more generic driver. Once that is done, you can download and install the correct one.

( Once "Safe Mode" with Networking starts, Windows is in Safe Mode, with additional network and services for accessing the Internet and other computers on your network.)

c. Press the "F6" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Command Prompt.
(In "Safe Mode" with "Command Prompt" starts Windows in Safe Mode, with a Command Prompt window instead of the Windows interface. This option is mostly only used by IT professionals.)

Now sign in to the computer with your account name and password. (If you have one set.) When you are finished troubleshooting, you can exit "Safe Mode" restarting your computer.
