So I'm searching for a laptop for my sister, and found HP ProBook 450 G3, which would be perfect if it didn't have integrated graphics. I'm more of a desktop user, and I'm don't know if integrated graphics are really bad on a laptop? My sister would use the laptop for studies, social media sites and youtube,so are integrated graphics enough for that? Or should I look for a laptop with a graphics card?

Solution
Integrated graphics, particularly latest gen 6 processors can play HD movies and some games perfectly well.
A dedicated graphics card is only needed for fast action gaming, and you will pay extra for it.

The one thing I would insist on for a laptop is a ssd for storage, It is THE main performance component.
Standard 5400rpm drives are s l o w, mainly to conserve battery run time.

The second thing I would look for is a great display. Not so much for the resolution, but for the image. IPS displays will look better than tn displays.

For any laptop you are considering, check the reviews at a site like notebookcheck.net
