i have hp pavilion g6 amd A10 2312 AX 1TB 4 GB RAM 2.5 GB Graphics Windows 8 quadcore processor and i want my processor to i5, is it possible?
 
Solution
you can't change from an AMD cpu to an Intel cpu.
download the service manual from hp support site for you model to see if can be upgrade

Short answer: Nope.

Long Answer:

Your motherboard on the laptop is meant to AMD, so switching to Intel isn't a possibility.

"So what about switching to another AMD processor" you might say.
Also not a possibility for the most part, unless you have the right socket on your motherboard to match up with the new processor (laptop motherboards bother with a socket type right?)

But even ignoring all of that, it would take a handy amount of soldering to even get that processor off the motherboard, let alone get another one on there and make it all compatible.
