My Toshiba laptop started freezing up on us. A tech looked at it and said it's a bios lock and they could fix it by replacing the motherboard for about $750. I've been trying to look up info on bios locks, but it all seems to be related to passwords. Our password works, but it just freezes up after that. We won't pay $750 for a fix as we can get a new one for less, but would love to get my info off the computer. Any ideas?
