The keys Q, W, E, R, and U aren't working. I don't know why they refuse to work, and I've tried looking up what to do. I haven't tried to plug any external keyboard yet, since the keyboard itself works on and off. The Q, W, E, and R seem to work whenever I click the U key, like it was somehow connected to it. I don't know what to do, and it's becoming a pain to bare. Can you help? It's a Inspiron 15 Dell laptop, the touchscreen 2014 model.

I have used a program to show on screen which keys are pressed on the keyboard and it has helped diagnose a bad keyboard. I have seen another key light up or multiple keys light up when one key is pressed, indicating bad hardware. I can't remember which program I used last but you should be able to find one easily enough.

I wish it were that simple. I'm not sure if it's bad hardware or if something's messing with me. Recently, my keyboard was working just fine for about two days until the same letters began not to work. It's gradually growing annoying, especially since when I think it's solved, it just gets worse.
