chrome, internet explore or Firefox
i seem to be having problems with chrome on task manger chrome is using a lot of CPU and disk space and has multiple tabs. when only search the web

also want to no what the best free anti virus program is

Best FREE probably AVAST or Avira , I use Ice Dragon browser , based on Firefox platform.

I usually use Avast coupled with Malwarebytes Anti Malware. Malwarebytes is not an active scanner, so it's okay to have it installed along with an active scanner like Avast.

For the browser, I usually use Mozilla Firefox.

I like Vivaldi as browser, has really nice features for power users
But it all depends on what you want from a browser
