I have a Dell Laptop with Windows 8.1 installed, and there is an annoying problem I am having with the Start Taskbar, in that it is set to Auto-hide, but still pops up every couple of minutes. :pt1cable:I have not for the life of me been able to figure out what is making this happen, but I cannot find any programs running in the Task Manager, nor are there any notifications enabled that would cause the bar to pop up. :??::(:??:
Please clarify this for me, and thanks in advance!! :bounce:

Solution
Removing Windows 8.1’s Universal Desktop Taskbar.

To stop the universal taskbar, you have to stop the taskbar's ability to house Modern apps.

1. Go to "Windows 8.1 Taskbar Properties". To do this, "Right-Click" on any empty space on the task bar, then click the" Task Bar" tab.

2. "Uncheck" it the box next to “Show Windows Store apps on the taskbar”. (No, it doesn't, say it changes the task bars properties, but it does.)

3. Now click "OK".

The taskbar should now only appear in its usual desktop environment.
