Now I know this question been posted a bunch of times and I've been googling it like crazy. The common solution I've been seeing is check the audio settings and select HDMI as your default device. But the thing is, it doesn't show up at all. And I've checked both "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" and still nothing. Picture is perfect but the audio will come out from nowhere other than my laptop. I'm currently using a Kinivo 501BN switcher, if that at all helps. I really hope someone can help me with this. I've been driving myself crazy with this.

I am having similar problem since the Win10 major update recently with my MSI laptop. The HDMI audio (with all the proper devices showing up in my output selection) worked perfectly with my Samsung TV and now it is just not there! No sound what so ever even though the picture is fine. The laptop cannot even detect any HDMI audio devices at all, I try reinstalling all the video and audio drivers, from the older versions to the latest ones, nothing seems to work. I suspect it is something with the new device detection with Windows 10. Very frustrating indeed.
