Hello, I've been looking for a laptop for a few days and the ones I find don't seem to please me.
My budget is about 700 euros, preferably not more, and I'm looking for a good laptop for school, watching videos, and a bit of gaming. All the computers I found were ones with something wrong, wether it be the terrible processor, too expensive graphics card, too heavy, etc.... I would prefer a white laptop to go with my color scheme, but I'm willing to try out grey or something, just not black. I play games such as tf2, stardew valley, gmod, and is like to get bf1 but I don't expect to run that at 4K 60fps or anything, but playable. Apparently ssd is much better, but har drive is no problem as long as it doesn't give up after 2 weeks, and at least 500gb. After reading all this over I know I sound really fussy but I don't want to waste my money as I don't have a job or anything so don't want to waste money....
For battery life I'd like at least 5 hours just doing light tasks, not gaming. I will game a bit but plugged in.
And I live in France
Any help is really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Dude, I'm buying now an ASUS A555 with I5 6200U + GT940M with 750GB 7200RPM disk only for 600€ in portugal...
So for 700€ you can get an I5 + SSD or I7 but an older family like I7 5200U or I7 4720HQ or something like that...

Do you want order the laptop in french pc market or you can buy in amazon or ebay??

Amazon or eBay are fine aslong as its not second hand. That sounds like a great deal, but it's 6,5 cm thick and that's too big, I'd rather be able to carry it around easily. I'd love an i7, I care more about the processor than the graphics card. I don't mind hdd as long as it's 7200rpm

Dude for more 100€ in your budget you get an I7 and the best "lower tier" gpu for laptop so you will be a relly god laptop...
https://www.amazon.com/K501UX-15-6-inch-Gaming-Processor-Windows/dp/B0146DD02G/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1469119275&sr=8-4&keywords=asus+i7

If you can't get extra money you need to go for an I5 but the dont ofer more than an gt920 in amazon...

So try search for an I5 + gt 940m or gtx950m... I saw here in portugal an I5 + GTX 950M with 4k display but it cost about 800€...

The laptop you suggested seems really good all round except the small storage. Is 250g enough?
I guess I could push to 800 but only if I feel it's really worth it. I like the sound of i7, 950m and 4K, that sounds very nice, but I expect there would be some downside like weight of something.....

I have 128GB on my laptop and its ok... 240 can be ok to you but who knows... Still I prefer a 128GB SSD then a 1T HDD...

Yup, that I7 is a good deal dude...
