Hi there,
I am trying to decide between a msi gs60 ghost pro or an msi apache pro, i want the best price for power, my budget is 2000 so i would aslo appreciate recommendations for other gaming laptops.
Thank you

Solution
Both will perform similarly well. However, both have a pretty poor battery life and the Apache is heavy unless you don't mind sitting in one place.
Here's some more recommendations:

ASUS ROG G751JY-VS71(WX): https://www.amazon.com/G751JY-VS71-WX-17-Inch-GeForce-Version/dp/B01DT4A2K6?ie=UTF8&tag=egclptops-20

Key features: Core i7-4210HQ, GTX 980M 4GB, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 1 TB HDD(i recommend switching to SSD), Windows 10 64bit, 17" screen

ASUS ROG G752VT-DH72: https://www.amazon.com/G752VT-DH72-Gaming-Laptop-Nvidia-GeForce/dp/B01578ZN0Q?ie=UTF8&tag=egclptops-20

Key features: Core i7-6700HQ, GTX 970M 3GB, 16 DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD + 128GB SSD, Windows 10, 17"screen

The 2nd Asus is pricier because it has better cooling and additional features...

The 2nd Asus is pricier because it has better cooling and additional features as you can see. The rest is up to you. Keep in mind all of them are pretty heavy including the ones you posted.

Well, almost all gaming laptops have cooling issues, are pretty heavy and have poor battery life. If it were me, it'd go with the first ASUS because it has a better video card than those listed here including the ones you posted. I'd replace the HDD with a SSD though since you're budget is already $2000.
