Basically, I just want to know if the GL502 is a good choice for stuff like Computer Science courses. I will also be coding and running programs that may be graphically-intensive. (kind of vague right now) I will also be doing cyber-defense related stuff. (Of course, I will also do all the usual things, like take notes, do presentations, etc)

By GL502 I mean the vt-ds74 or the vy-ds71 model.

I will do absolutely no gaming, unless it is to test-run games I have coded. (so I guess I do need those graphics)

I chose the GL502 because of its awesome specs, because I know its advertised as a gaming laptop, but I don't intend to use it as one.

Thanks in advance! :)

Sorry, I saw your reply 12 minutes after you posted, but forgot to reply.

Anyways, thanks for your reply, but I was wondering whether or not I should wait for pascal mobile GPUs. I don't need something like 1080m for gaming, but I was wondering if I might get better value and performance. My deadline is August 1 and I'm not sure if pascal laptops will be available or if the gL502 will get a pascal upgrade by then.

Again, thanks. :)
