Hey all
I have a Lenovo ideapad with r5 m330 and i7 5500U ,couple of weeks ago I found that the gpu is Underclocked (975 core Clock compared to the stock 1000)
I finally decided to OC it to get it to at least the stock clock speeds,so using sapphire trixx I managed to OC it to 1020 Core Speed and 1125 Memory Clock Speed
I ran 20 rounds of Metro last light bench on High(720P res with tess on) settings to check stability and it passed them all (the bench took about 25 minutes,so 25 minutes of 99% GPU ulitization)averaging a sweet(for this laptop) 24FPS with no crashes
Max temp during the test was 74C for gpu and around 80C for CPU(None of the throttled)
It seems a little too good to be true so I'm suspecting that maybe VRAMS are overheating since they have no sensors to report the temp
Also I noticed no Artifact during the bench or after it while playing overwatch
before deciding that these speeds are safe the Driver did crash at 1035 Core speed and it took around 5 mins before I could launch any new games(the driver was still not responding)

overall do you think that this oc is stable enough for 5 hours of gameplay per day ?

[I'm well aware of how Overclocking works (decreasing the intervals of Vcore signals) and I know the risks]

If it ran on that speed, it would seem to be stable, but keep in mind that overclocking does not just show up in immediate crashes, over time, the extra heat stresses components and can lead to earlier hardware failure.

To all people reading this OCing a laptop GPU by more than 2-3% of the clock speed,Can and will shorten the lifespan of ur device

Did you Overvoltage them or they just failed due to OCing ?
