Laptop drivers Win 7 64 bit

I just got a laptop from a friend that needs drivers. I have gone to the ACER website and found drivers for it, but there are so many different types of certain drivers, i'm unsure what to use.

I need Windows 7 64bit drivers.

System name: Aspire E1-531
Serial #: NXM12AA0232380906

He wrote me and said I needed:
Display,
Wireless,
Internet Controller
Network controller,
PCI simple communication controller,
Small BUS controller,
and Base system device x2.

EDIT: I'm assuming I need all the Intel drivers, but I'm unsure which touchpad drivers I need, Synaptic or ELANTECH, does it matter?

Go to windows search, and search for "Device Manager". A window will pop up (you need to be the administrator to do this). Hardware without drivers will have an exclamation mark next to them. Simply right click and select install drivers. This worked for me, I hope it works for you!

Chipset too - Audio.

Run SPECCY and identify what type of motherboard you have. Enter that model in the Acer driver search. Then download and install all the latest drivers. Do not go to generic driver download websites.

Okay, so I believe I got most the drivers I need, but I can't find the PCI simple communication, Small BUS controller, and the Base System device x2. (Drivers?)

Am I suppose to find these on other websites than ACER? Or are these just named something different in the ACER driver list?

Start running the computer. If any additional drivers are needed, you will get an alert. For instance if you need a USB driver it will tell you so. Then go to Control Panel, Device Manager, and find the USB controllers. Right click and disable this. Then right click and enable it (or restart). Windows also will automatically search and install the correct drivers you need.

No! I would not recommend any generic driver websites. Go to Acer, or Windows.

Always install drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website (or let Windows install them for you).
