How to connect a smart tv, blu Ray player and Mts box to a dvd surround system

How do I connect a Samsung smart tv, Mts cable box, lg blu Ray to a Sony dvd surround system? I have Netflix on the smart tv but it won't play through surround just tv sound. Also can't get surround for blu Ray.. It only plays surround for cable and dvd.. I probably hooked up something wrong.. I have 3 hdmi cords and one optical audio cord.. How can I hook them all up so that I get surround for cable, smart tv and blu Ray?

It can work. I would need to know exactly what tv, surround sound system and Mts box being used...

Samsung smart tv... Mts cable box not sure but has all available plugs in back... Surround is Sony DVD surround and LG blu Ray.. All are fairly new models they all have HD slots and optical audio slot

It was working for a while.. But when we had to disconnect everything to get new carpets in.. I think I plugged one cord in wrong place and just can't seem to figure it out now

Without model number can't be specific.
In general connect the MTS and BD player to the TV with HDMI.
Connect the TV optical out to the Sony surround system.
The BD player will give you a better picture even on DVDs so no reason to use the Sony for disc playback
