My laptop keeps going into a sleep like state very often, it stays like that for a while, and i have to turn off then on again using the power button. Sometimes when it urn in on it goes into that state, and i have to repeat the tedious process. When im using it it randomly goes into that sleep mode. I tried moving the power setting around to see if it does anything but it doesn't seem to help. I need a solution please.

Forgot to mention that laptop wont turn on from that sleep state, thats why i have to restart it all the time, also i cant go into bios to change stuff because half of my screen is broken so i have to use monitor, and bios does not display on monitor.

Setting both the Sleep mode and Hibernation to "Never" under Power settings should stop that, if you are sure you've put them both on "Never" and it's still happening it sounds more like some failure in your laptop's battery/ power supply.

Is it possible the system has too much dust in the heatsink and is thermally shutting down.

You may still be able to get to the bios with the broken display.

Look for an icon on the F keys that has 2 monitors or a computer and a monitor(sometimes it may also be a screen with a line on either side) and hit function and that key after using the normal bios enter key for that notebook(some use Del or F10 or even F1 or F12). You may be able to slow the starting with the Pause Break key.

When using that FN key combination you can generally get the post and bios on an external display.

It is set to never for both hibernate and sleep, but if it were a battery issue, why would it go into sleep where i can't wake it up?
