Hello! i am new to the site (just read the rules so i might miss something. )
So i have had this problem for long time that my laptop had a fan problem making a lot of noise. so i opened it up and cleaned the vent. It was for the 1st time(doing it myself) and there was some electrice tape on the motherboard. I thought there is a bolt under it so i took it off(could it have caused damage?).
and my casing was broken from one side of the lid already a little bit(the bolt at that side was stuck). it might have caused some strain on the lid wire that goes inside the lid? Ok so i cleaned the vent and i put it back up. Now the monitor keeps flashing and the reason i found is that there is a "generic non pnp monitor" poping up out of nowhere. and keeps apearing and disapearing.
uninstalling the driver or rolling back didn't solve the problem One thing i tried was to uninstall the graphics driver and the problem disapeared(screen working with microsoft basic display adapter driver. it showed generic non pnp monitor and didn't recognize it as pnp monitor). but when i re install it. the problem comes back. i don't yet have any money to replace the card so i want it to maybe last for some time. is there a solution to it?
